I am assuming we in the U.S. will not be receiving a 335d or 535d anytime in the near future. :'(

Unfortunately, given tighter diesel restrictions in 2007, only MB will be able to meet these standards and sell diesels in the U.S. Evidently, MB does not see diesels as performance cars as it does not offer a sport package here in the U.S., but it does on the E350 and E550.

Actually - yes!

330xd touring, for the winter. But now I?m getting unsure wich one to order - 330 or 335?

I want the x-drive but who can resist 286 hp and 580 nm. Maybe a chip for the 330 xd?

Given you have an M5, you must get a 335!

We have 5 months of bad traction here in Sweden, that?s why I?m considering the x-drive.

Why oh why is there a 335d. Things gets complicated now!

LOL get the 335d and just imagine it's an X-drive when you sign the papers. On the road don't...

haha nice advice bettermakeway.

seriously though, as I live in similar conditions as Cidair, I'd definitely opt for a 330xd in favour of the 335d for a "winter automobile", because if the winters in Sweden are (and I bet they are) as rugged as here in Turku, Finland, the all-wheel drive is an unmatched companion.

I would go for the 335d. I think it's enough with rear wheel drive in the swedish winter as long as you have great wheels. I have nokian hakapelita 4. They fit my 135 perfectly, 245 wide and 18". They are also studded.
