I was on River Rd, Edgewater NJ. An electric blue two door stops left of me at a red light. At first I glanced over because of its stunning color. Then I noticed the rear and front fenders and noticed it was a 335. And YES it sounds like a bi-turbo for sure. I wish I had pictures. The plate said MFR...figured. We raced and I was surprised that I actually needed to slow down for him at a straight line performance, but it was lots of fun. I want one now. lol

Morer over, I was driving with a failed AS. annoying chimes "warning! active steering malfunction, drive safely"...yea right~ I needed a bit of fun today.
IMHO I think the 335's design is super nice already with it's already M-like look, but the rear portion of the car looked like it was screaming for MODs to be done. The rear looked a bit bland and plain more like a honda to me..an Acura RSX to be specific. However, I can't wait to hear that engine again!!

Maybe he was breaking it in.
I think BMW states 5.3 seconds 0-60 (manual) so in reality, should be only a tad slower than a 550i.
Maybe your driving skills widened the gap.

Or maybe he even 'broke' the engine. He was literally in a dragg mode. He swerved lanes to stay close. It reminded me of myself when I first test drove the 550 before purchasing it...mann the SA had such sweaty hands after we stopped the car back into the dealer...I had to decline the hand shake All in all, I love BMWs they just feel right.

So did the 335 engine sound better/worse than a 550?
