What else? Burning through extended amounts of cash? If you can have just as much - or more - fun in the 135, why would you ever spend the extra 15-20g's on the M?!
handling, suspension, throttle response, etc (all the "M-goodies")...yes all that can be done aftermarket on a 135i, but then again...why not just get an s2000/sti/evo then if it's all about tunability, bang for your bunch, and hp's...because it's a BMW right? The same premise can be applied to an M to an non M. I'm not saying the non M models are inferior, but don't just look at the numbers when comparing...

how about the 535i v 550 discussion all over again....same thing, different model

yes they do, but I still find it flattering to "M" models how they are "benchmark" for some owners in that same model line

***both are great vehicles in their own right, justifying spending or not spending your money on either model is a debate that personal preference should always take precedence

You'll end up spending more money to make a regular car perform like an M in all aspect once all's said and done PERIOD

Just that after the F10 I don't know what to expect anymore
As mentioned, BMW is ALWAYS conservative with their 0-60 ratings. Plus they always make sure the pecking order is preserved. I think the M3 was rated at 4.7?? They can't rate the 1M faster than the M3 but we all know the M3 is faster than 4.7. I've seen a Z4 35i test at 4.3 to 60 yet BMW rates it at 4.9 to 60.

I have no doubt it will be plenty quick and great handling. Just how great is to be seen.

M3 vs C63 vs RS4 - The C63 has the most HP.

I'll take the modest increase in HP with the decrease in weight.
