I read in the German wikipedia the following:

Ende 2007 oder Anfang 2008 soll ein 135i folgen der ?ber 220 kW (wahrscheinlich 226 kW/306 PS) Leistung besitzt.
Translation:

In the 4th quarter of 2007 or in the 1st quarter of 2008 a 135i with probably 226 kW/306 HP is going to be introduced.

Have you already heard about that? Do you have any links proving that?

I dunno but i hope they'll do it.
It's very probable that they will introduce the biturbo petrol engine on the 1 series as well. And if they do well...probably that will be a lil nuclear bomb.

Well they've already shoe-horned the 3litre i6 in so we know it 'fits'! Should be called the M1 but I guess turbocharging isn't the M way at the moment... 0-60 definitely under 5secs...

Hmmm we have different way of perciving 0-60 time here in Europe, at least i do.
More 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds or so.

PS: I hope no M in the future gets to be turboed.

Well the 335i is doing 0-100km/h in around 5.1s (Officially 5.5s) so the lighter 1 surely will crack the 5.0s?

Excuse my brain fart there about the 5.8 seconds time

Yes so we'd better talk about official figures since because/if the 335i is under-rated pretty much as most of the bmws then for sure the 135i will be the same. So probably a 5.4/5.3 seconds to 100km/h could be.

That puts it quite close to the Z4 M coupe wich does it in 5.0 seconds officially so that would mean around 4.8?
