'04 545i aftermarket stereo?

Greetings,

I've been told from multiple folks that it is IMPOSSIBLE to install any aftermarket head unit into my 04 545i. Is there any truth to this? Right now the factory "stereo" is a knob and CD eject button...pretty lame.
