My Ride: 2008 Silverstone II E60 M5 2012 E70 AW X5 50i Sport w/ LCI Aero Kit and Rocker Panels

I took the family up to our country house recently in Vermont and soon realized the 20's wouldn't cut it up there and that I needed a winter set-up ASAP. I ended up going with Style 210's (18's), had them powdercoated high gloss black and slapped some Blizzak LM-25 RFT's on there. The truck is absolutely bullet proof with this set-up. Wherever I point the steering wheel, the car goes. It plows through everything and is very reliable. It handles better than my other truck. Hell, it might be more fun than riding the snowmobiles (OK...maybe not ).

Our house is right near the Canadian border, so my wife, daughter and I decided to make a trip up to Canada one day, hence the pictures of the border crossing into Canada. The pictures of the road looking ahead are on our way back through a blizzard. The car handled like a dream. Even my cousin commented on how safe they felt in the truck on some of the treachorous roads leading to our house. I'm really glad I "unlowered" it or I would have had issues in some of the deep stuff.

Enjoy!

LOL! I heard about your new purchase Mark. Congrats man. The X is fun, but nothing like the M. You're in for a real treat. Congrats again!

Love that pic of the snow-covered road ahead

we went up to camelback this past weekend and much to my surprise, the only snow we saw was on the slopes too bad we were in a Lexus GX - if I drove mine, I'd hit some twisties instead of the slopes

anyway, thanks for sharing the pix - looks good

That's an impressive little retreat you have up there! Some time ago, I was in the Sugarbush area for five years or so. The extra room in the wheel wells with the 18s looks critically important to get that icy build-up out quickly and keep the suspension free and easy.
Sent off an e-mail to you not so long ago. Hope you got it.
Cheers
