As a BMWCCA member, I recently received an email inviting me to the BMW M Tour that is traveling the country. It's a private opportunity for you, and only you, to take a test drive in the latest M cars by BMW. You get 25 minutes, the keys and a specific route. It's that simple. The only advice they give you is not to get arrested (they're actually serious).

So today, I finally signed up. My scheduled drive time is for 1pm on Sunday. I'm going to the Tarrytown, NY Tour.

Here are the cars I'll be able to test drive:

• 2009 M3 with the new M DCT 7-Speed Tranny
• 2010 X5 M
• 2010 X6 M

Unless my wife decides to give birth between now and then, it should be a pretty fun day. I'll try and take as many pictures and video's as possible.

One last thing... You must RSVP and choose a specific drive time, based on availability. They still had a few times left on Sunday. It's in NJ on Saturday.

They will ask you a bunch of questions (Name, Age, Current BMW(s) you own, etc.) and what time you would like to test drive these 3 cars. They will then provide you with a confirmation number. I think I'm most excited about driving the X5 M, more than anything. Although I am interested in seeing what the M DCT is like versus my SMG.

pretty sick, I believe member aznronin got to drive the M3 when they had that event out here in LA...wonder if only ///M owners qualified for the invite
