Mike

Did you run the car in or go straight for the retune?

When I had my previous X5 3.0d I had a Tunit box fitted at under 1000 miles and always drove it like I was trying to head-but the horizon

The car ran like a train and never let me down
The car was well run in when the remap was done - I wanted to see if I could feel the difference in performance. IMHO BMW engines don't really loosen up until they've done around 15-20K miles - at least that's my personal experience.

I would run her in first. Then the remap will feel all the better!
Enjoy the ride.
If you dont mind me asking, what sort of discount did you get?

I got 10% because the work was done at my home but more was on offer if I'd been able to take it to the DMS workshop.

Brill spec, though I think you may miss the V8 soundtrack from the 4.8....

Ive had my DMS'd 535d for nearly a year now and it never fails to impress.....My wife says it's loads faster than her Cayenne Turbo and Ive had a hard time getting her out of my car recently!

The DMS remap is brill if a little pricey. Ive heard good things about Jayson at Chipped UK though, so it may be worth giving him a call too as he appears to offer the same kind of gains for half the price.

Be sure to post some piccies when youve got it!

Pretty sure I'll miss the V8 soundtrack, but not the almost daily visits to the gas station!

About 4 weeks to go and as soon as it arrives I'll post some pics.

Just spoken to the Dealer and the car is built and waiting to be shipped to the UK!

All being well, I should have it just after I get back from Le Mans in about 10 days or so......
