My Ride: 535D M Sport
Space Grey, Comfort Seat, full leather, iPod, climate pack, comms pack, heated seats, tinted windows, sports gearbox + paddle shift, 19" wheels
New to the E60 as I am just about to sell my X5 4.8is and get a new 535d M Sport in 6 or so weeks.
Spec as follows:
535d M Sport
Space Grey
Leather
Comfort Seats
Heated seats
Media pack
Vis pack
Through load
iPod/USB
Hi-Fi upgrade
Interior lights package
Folding/dimming mirrors
M Spoiler
Bling dark glass
19" wheels
Sports auto box + paddle shift
Got a pretty hefty discount and having read the posts I'm sure I won't be disappointed.....(never driven one TBH )
I intend to have minor surgery to the engine by way of DMS or someone similar shortly after its birth - anybody got any feedback about DMS or any other re-mapping company and the best time to have it done....i.e do I really need to run it in or just go for it?

I had DMS retune my 530d and I can report that the service was excellent - I had the remap carried out on my drive when I was working at home and there was a noticeable lift in the car's in gear performance. I've also noticed that the mpg has improved slightly even though I probably drive the car a bit harder than before.

The spec on your car sounds great - exactly what I'd have if I were buying new.

Did you run the car in or go straight for the retune?
When I had my previous X5 3.0d I had a Tunit box fitted at under 1000 miles and always drove it like I was trying to head-but the horizon
The car ran like a train and never let me down
