Hi
It's been long overdue for me to introduce myself.
My name is Perrin I live in NW London and I have been a member for a few months now, having joined when I decided to move to BMW brand. I was looking to purchase a E60 BMW
With my preference of cars being for most things German, having owned mostly VW's in the past in the form of Golf GTi's (3 in total), Golf GT TDi (my previous car), a Passat and a Mercedes 190E..
Having had many Golf's but with my family were growing, day by day, I decided something bigger was required.
Having always liked the E39's I had started searching for an E39 Aegean Blue special edition.
I had spent quite sometime searching and when I had located one in North London. Although a very nice car, the trader was reluctant to allow me to test drive it, as it was blocked in, in his packed forecourt. As a result I was limited to sitting in the car and having the engine started, but while I was there an E60, which was available to drive, caught my eye.
One test drive later and all thoughts of owning an E39 were out of the window and the search for an E60 began. (To say I was impressed was an understatement), I did not buy that car as I did not like the attitude of the salesman and lack of full service history. I started my search and joined a few forums to help with the questions I had and for research in to these cars.
So to cut a long story short I have, since March 2011, been the proud owner of a E60 545iSe.
As this was a well looked after example with a nice list of features
Advanced Air Conditioning
Comfort Seats (heated)
Heated Rear Seats
Logic 7 Sound System
CD Changer
Adaptive Lights
Xenons
Electric Folding Mirrors
Electric Rear Sunblind
Sunroof
Factory Fitted Shadow Line
Business Preparation (Sat Nav & Bluetooth)
I have had very little to do during my ownership so far.
