My Ride: 2009 E61 525 xDAT with plenty good stuff (NAV, HUD etc)
Hi, I am new to BMW after driving mostly Volvo's for the past years. Very satisfied with our last XC70, but as it turns out this proud brand goes to China and that's about where my limit is. So we ended up shortly after X-mas with an -09 525 xDAT with 16k kms on the meter. Very promising so far, this REALLY is a driving machine compared to anything I've tried before, unbeatable on wintery roads (live in southern Norway) and driving has yet again become enjoyable. A little bit worried about the years to come though, because the car really is quite sophisticated and complex with endless electronics and all that. This forum seems to be a great source for fact finding and sharing of experiences, and that may help us through. And, from reading a few posts, the E60/61 appears to be quite well built. My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
