My Ride: 545 modded the F out
Whats up everyone. My name is JR and Im taking over my bro's 04 545. The car needs minor to minimal cosmetic work done on it. I gotta buy new tires for the stock 124's and unfortunately the jet black paint wasn't taken care of that well and it really hurts to look at in the sun. (painful swirl marks all over) I figure if I gotta buy new tires I might as well upgrade from 18's tp 19's. Also, I'm in the works of shopping around to get the car re-painted. I'm kinda leaning towards Alpine White or the Lexus' Star Fire Pearl.
What do you think? Suggestions?
thanks

Perhaps a local nor cal member can recc a good detail service that could do a paint restoration as well....it would be better than changing the entire car color IMO....
You've got a number of local nor cal members, so I am sure they will chime in with shops for mods/wheels...it seems SonicMS is the most popular one for nor cal, at least on here
Check in on the nor cal members thread as well when you get the chance

My Ride: Jet Black 530i with some mods
congrats... and I agree with Gene, try to do a paint restoration rather than repainting a whole different color... and get 20's with all the money you save!!

I'm partial to Titanium Silver but Alpine White looks terrific. I love my Carbon Black color but it, like all black and dark blue colors is a PITA to keep clean-looking.
For some very tasteful mods than really enhance an Alpine White E60, see various threads initiated by member Alpine White Girl.

Thanks for the warm welcomes and advice guys. Im stil flip flopping on what to do as far as paint in concerned. I've had the car detailed a few times already and the inevitable result of the re-appearance of the swirls just end up coming back. Figure If Im gunna keep on spending the money to get the car detailed I might as well just restore the paint completely. Could be way wrong, but Im really starting to get excited about the Alpine white. Lookin around to snag a wheel/ tire OEM M5 set. How much would you guys recommend is too much? whats a good price for the package? thanks a lot.
I've attached a few pics of the car when my bro first swooped it up. Nothing special. All stock. Just picked up an M5 trunk lip and an AC front lip. Next week im upgrading all of the head/ fog and plate lights.
p.s. I've been told that if i move up to 19's it will still have a significant wheel gap and I might as well move up to 20's. what do you think?
