I want to say hello to everybody from Spain. I have just got a e60 (520d) and I am very happy with it.
I'd like to make you a question: Is it possible to read mp3 with radio business without navi? I have a lot of cd's compilations and now I can use them. :(

Yesterday they told me that my e60 can't read mp3 even after the repro. The fact is that the hifi Business without navi has two versions: one more basic than the other and the first is what I have.
What I know is that BMW said that all cars from september 2005 could be reprogrammed. But no way. Now I don't know what to do. Maybe install an AUX IN port.
I'd like to have a document from BMW where says this of repros. I think I have see it in another forum www.bmwfaq.com here in Spain.

!Hola y bienvenido! Art for mp3 you need Radio Pro like I have wo Nav and late sw, then it is ok,
Or just go for an mp3 player and install the aux-in. I think better than have 10-20s cds full of mp3 :thumbsup: Post the pics ASAP you have it!

Art, the AUX-in update is one of the best value mods you can make to the car.

As others have said, the Business radio will never support mp3 playback, sorry :(

About the AUX-IN, Yes, I think that is the best choice for me, but I have heard that the volume of AUX is very low and it has to be installed another thing to give it power.

That is not true just get the aux-in, I use no other stuff then that and perfect even the bass is ok from my L7 and turn the players sound up almost max. before it disstort the sound and adjust the volume of your car's system! Should be no problem amigo. !Mucho suerte!

The Business radio just does not have the backwards compatibility. Those bulletins refer to the Professional (2 tuner) radio.

To be fair to BMW on this the brochure *always* stated that the Professional radio was required for mp3 playback (but not the 2 year wait :devil:)
