Hi everyone. I am new to this board so apologies if I am repeating anything already covered or posting in the wrong place. I'm from Knaresborough in North Yorkshire in the UK. I replaced my 2003 E39 530d M Sport in Feb this year with an E60 530d M Sport previously ran from new by BMW UK for 4 months.
It's a really good spec, but annoyingly lacks the USB interface. I know this has been covered, even in this forum, and I have trawled the web looking for retrofit options with little joy as have many. But now I am confirmed that an official 5 series E60 LCI retrofit kit is about to be launched, and with luck my dealer is just awaiting confirmation from BMW AG to allow them to use my car as a 'BETA Test'. I have seen the official release installation instructions at the dealership but this is not yet on the ETK system.
If someone else is aware of this and I am a little behind, I am sorry but given the research I have put into this, I am lead to believe that this is quite hot news !!
If anyone needs any further info then PM me and I'll keep you up to speed with progress.
Nice to meet you all !!
Regards, Melv

to the forum. There are a few threads regarding a 6fl retrofit. The upper right search bar is great tool to help find them...

I dont think anyone has retrofitted the 6FL USB, so keep us informed. However if the cost is more than the aftermarket Dension then I would struggle to see why anyone would do it. The USB still uses the BMW AUX-IN for the audio - which I hate.
