First time BMW owner. I wasn’t expecting to own a BMW until last week. My vehicle got totaled during a rainy day in San Diego. We all know driver's in SoCal can’t handle the rain. I was rear-ended and totaled out my car. Fortunately for me, an opportunity presented itself in the form of a 2005 BMW 545i with a 4.4 V8 and 95k miles. The car is immaculate and the service and owner history perfect. It was a matter of the BMW gods looking upon me. Just as I walked into a non-BMW dealership when a trade-in rolled in. It was a corporate firm owned vehicle, and it caught my eye. I had to see it. So here we are, a BMW dealership pre-purchase inspection completed to ensure it was what it seemed (378.00) money well spent I suppose. With only tires, suspension and strut requirements. No mechanical or electrical issues found. Now I am here to learn. Thus far, I am impressed with the performance and handling of a BMW. First time for everything. It does have the two different tire sizes, base or sport package?
to the forum and the BMW Owner's Club! I had a similar experience where a tree branch fell on my car and totaled it and I ended up with an E60. Things happen for a reason.
The different tire sizes (front to back I hope!) mean that your car has a staggered setup. It gives the car a more aggressive look.
Haha, yeah I guess that’s a better description. Definitely staggered. I am pretty proud of my first BMW purchase. Just need to get the initial kinks out. I am in the process of trying to find a local Indy at a great price here San Diego. Congrats on your unfortunate event and E60 gift!
