My Ride: BMW 530d, 2004, all options
Hi!
Last year after moving from Denmark to Sweden I became the happy owner of a pre-owned E60 530dA (MY 2004). For those of you who doesn't know the car taxes in Denmark is among - if not - the highest in the world. A new E60 (520i, manual, no extras) begins at 90.000 euros and ends at 162.000 euros (550i, manual, no extras). Equipment is also expensive - navi pro costs 6600 euros.
So growing up with these kind of prices, you can imagine that this in many ways was the car of my dreams. For me it has got a near perfect combination between sport and comfort and space (other cars considered: A6 3.2, Legacy 3.0 and 9-3 2.8T). Of course I would like the 535dA, but at that time I couldn't afford it. Now things has changed and I consider it again. Or maybe start saving money for the next 5-series
I used to work as a legal consultant in the Ass. of Danish Motorists, so if you have any questions in that direction feel free to ask.
Else - I'm very happy with my E60 and didn't have too much trouble with it yet. It it equipped with navi pro, head up display, active steering, comfort seats, adaptive headlights etc etc.
Below - arriving in Switzerland an early morning. The first long trip with the new E60
