2007 525i, Premium, Sport, Navigation
Hello everyone,
I am a first time BMW owner and fairly new to this forum. Although, I have been lurking in search of a few tips from all the experienced owners. I just bought a preowned 2007 525i (Jet Black) for the wife and a new 2009 535i (Deep Sea Blue) for myself. BTW, the 525 is her secondary car for "fun" (don't ask, it's a sensitive subject ;-). I am truly impressed with the quality and engineering put into these vehicles. My previous cars were Mercedes and Infiniti sedans. We are excited about "pimpin" our ride, as my teenage son would say, and have already purchased new wheels/tires for both (166's with 12mm spacers in the rear). With that said, it is worth mentioning here that I will be posting brand new OEM 124 wheels w/tires for sale in the private seller classified section.
As I mentioned, I'm a new BMW owner so I apologize in advance for all the stupid questions I will be asking henceforth. I do have an engineering degree but that only means you have to beat me over the head only once in a while, but with a bigger stick. Glad to be a member here and I look forward to chatting and learning with all of you.
Best regards,
Checksix

to the forum, you are a good man letting your wife call the 535 "hers'
Happy motoring to the both of you in both e60's
Interesting how you didn't just buy M6 offsets rather than adding spacers to the 166's with M5 offsets (the M6 offsets are 11mm wider)...either way..nice choice

Yes, I only learned after the fact from these forums that I could purchase with the M6 offset. Oh well, the spacers should work fine.

Welcome, these guys are very helpful, im still new to the board aswell. can someone explain to me why I will need these (m6 offset) when I purchase 166's and where did you purchase the wheels from?
The front offsets are the same on each.
