Hello everyone,
I was just able to join the Bimmer family again after a much-too-long hiatus with the purchase of a high-mileage 2007 530xiT wagon - 6 sp Manual - which I love. I picked it up on Monday last week - and did not notice during the test-drive (I know - my fault) that when I accelerate with about half throttle - I get engine hesitation through 2nd and 3rd gear between 2500-4000rpm - but once I am up to speed - it seems to be fine while at cruising speed. I must thank you all on this forum as I have already found a thread that described the same problem and the owner was able to solve it by cleaning the MAF sensor. So I have already been to the store today to purchase some cleaner and Sea Foam for the injectors - as my car has 106,000 on it and I figured showing the injectors a little love would not be a bad idea. I am headed out to the garage to see clean the MAF sensor. If anyone has any ideas for me - I am all ears. Thanks again and looking forward to hanging out here....

I would also perform the 25 second transmission reset, it CAN work miracles with an adaptive transmission!

Thanks flyingpuck !
Even though I have a 6 sp manual - is there a reset for that as well ? Wasn't sure how
electronically based the manual tranny is....if so - I will give it a shot....
