Figured I would come on here and introduce myself. My name is Rich and the car is actually my fiance's (Dawn) car, but after driving it, I consider it mine too! I always heard from a couple friends that BMW was such an awesome car. Always liked the looks but was always too busy with the smaller Japanese cars - I've owned a 1996 Eclipse GSX and 1992 Eagle Talon AWD - and going after my dream car. Dawn has a Maxima as well that she has owned since new in 2000. Recently she's been flopping between a Corvette or a BMW 5 series. Well my father has a 2004 C5 and he lets us take it on occassion so we decided on a pre-owned BMW. Can't beat saving 50% or more from the original sticker on a 3-4 year old car! Well this weekend we finally pulled the trigger and got ourselves a 6 speed manual 2006 530XI in deep blue. The only downside to the purchase was no navigation but we'll get over it.
The car is absolutely awesome. Decent power, great ride, good handling and drop dead sexy. I am very impressed with the car as a whole. It still has a year of factory warranty/maintenance. Not sure if I will get an extended warranty or not yet but we have time. i can do most of the mechanical work myself but not having too might be worth it. Something to visit in a year. Until then, we are going to enjoy this car. Such a ncie vehicle!

HAHA nice. I am from "the Nort".
I figure I can always geta Grmin if I want... or I can continue to print out google maps. No big deal to me.
Unfortunately I cannot make the April 25th meet. I have a wedding to go to. I will try to make the next one though.
