My Ride: Shopping for e61
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Hey there!
I just figured I would post here and introduce myself. I'm new to BMWs but not to car forums. I spent most of my High School restoring a 1991 Honda CRX. Great cars, lots of fun, but just not quite a BMW. It's also been broken for about 2 years and I just don't have the time anymore to have a car leaving me stranded all the time.
I'm a Web Developer and Consultant living in Asheville, NC. I work on bigger "out of the ordinary" web sites and web applications.
I picked a e61 because I have very specific needs and the e61 met all of them:
- Practical (I have a dog, as well as multiple drumsets, musical equipment, friends, etc)
- Sporty/Fun
- Reliable (you have no idea how bad my CRX was believe it or not)
- Safe
- Towing - I'm currently working on a airstream trailer project turning it into a mobile office and recording studio. The BMW came highly recommended to fit my needs by CanAm RV
- Somewhat Classy - I have to drive all over town to meet clients and the girlfriend's 1994 Mazda was not cutting it
Anyways, check out my post here about the cars I'm looking at getting and comment there!
