Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I'm looking to be picking up an E60 in the next few weeks. I'm in the Olympia/Tacoma area of WA. I'll be selling my 1994 C280 once I pick up an E60. At the bottom I'll post a pic of my current car... I'm a moderator on a Mercedes W202 specific forum and also run another site for W202 DIY projects. I hope to be able to contribute to this community as I have with the MB W202 community.

Perhaps I could get some insight as to things to ask about or to look for while shopping for the E60s. I'm primarily looking at the 545i and the 530i in teh 2004-2007 range. How is the reliability on these vehicles? Any major issues to look for? Years/models/options to avoid?

Much Thanks!

Martin

Cool

Its good to see someone else from the northwest on here! I am from tacoma as well and I just picked up a 2006 530xi and I totally love it so far. I got the all wheel drive 530xi because we live in the northwest and weather can be quite shitty and I hit the mountain a lot, but if I didnt have that shit to worry about I definitely would have gotten a 545 for sure dude (sport package of course) either way you go you cant lose with a bimmer!!!!!!

Go for the 545i (I did, and I love it) and then you won't ever have to say I could have had a V8!!

No built in problems on the E60 from what I have seen. Grab one if you can.
