I ordered a carbon rear twin exit defuser and a front spliter, also in carbon. As they had not arrived i ordered a cheep fiberglass item from MStyle in the UK so that the exhaust chap had some thing on the car as it was in getting a twin exit exhaust system fitted.

But Typical, after dropping the car off it all arrived this morning

Twin exit carbon defuser :thumbs-up:

Bit of an update

I have now had the twin exit exhaust fitted, this is from the turbo back, removing the cat, and the dpf delite, along with a stage 2 remap, i have also fited the twin exit carbon defuser.

It sounds like a straight 6 should sound and the performance is incredible,i will be sticking the car on a rolling road this saturday for a fine tune at Ray West Tuning in Thruxton...

Then show the resaults, also a vidio of it being dyno tested on the rollers with resaults. E60d drivers will be amazed :thumbs-up:

Big Up Date

My car was remapped and the i went back several days later for the rolling road session and fine tuning.

Well hear we go, The car went to Ray West Tuning at Thruxton,

A very "holy crap" moment happened when the car during one of the runs tried or did jump the rollers even though it was tied down at the rear. Ray managed to stop it going to far so after that happened they put sraps from the front end to the rear to keep it in place

standered 231bhp

1st reading, standerd with cat removed, dpf delite, pippercross air filter and custom exhaust

251bhp & 428lb torque

Last Run with remap and fine tune on the rolling road

289.8bhp & 556lb torque

A short video

A recent update as to What's been going on with my e60,

Well after the remap not much, just enjoying the ride, I need to get the front arches rolled a little and I have a new fuel filter to fit and still not decided weather to paint the roof gloss black,

But Project Audio started on Monday

A 3 way Morel set up in the front, removing the subs from under the seats and replacing them with a set of 6.5 mid base, replacing the door speakers and tweeters with morel 4" and tweeter set up and in the boot 2 x 12" kicker subs in a custom inclosure and 4 JL Audio amps running every thing with a split charger set up.

There won't be much on display apart from the amps in the boot behind a perspect glass window.

I have already done the iPod integration using BMW,s own kit giving me full iPod control through the I-drive rather then getting a gateway 500. This was done at MStyle and they did the coding at same time.

Stage by stage picks to follow

The Boot's been cleared out ready for sound profing

And the sound profing starting to fill the boot

Still trying to decide what to do BUT,,,,

I have 2 X JL 1000D amps running each sub, kicker or JL 12w6 x 2 of each or may be some thing else, Not 100% sure yet

I like my base and dont forget, No Ski hatch and 5" of rear seat between the subs and me so its got to be punchy.

2 X JL360/2 running the doors with the 4" and tweeter
2 X JL360/4 bridged running the Mid Base under the front seats.

what i have above is pleanty powerfull and will do the job.

And this arrived today

My Bit 10 and volume controler

So Now its up to date and the audio install is well under way

Little Update

I was like a kid in a candy shop when 2 of them arrived JL 12w6 subs, Sweet

Not Much has been going on with the install untill this week,

The audio install is going slow, but its getting there Due to the lack of depth where the OEM subs were under the seat i cant fit the 6.5 mid base speakers i wanted to fit so it looks like a more exspensive option and that is the JenArt replacement upgrade speakers are going in.

And the rear spoiler arrived last week so that has been fitted, picks below

This was done yesterday, the Bit 10 Controller was custom fitted in to the ash tray slot. I wanted it hidden but easily accessable so this was the ideal place to fit it. I dont smoke any way and dident use the ash tray for any thing else.

And The boot is starting to take shape, "O" Gage earth and power cables.

The 2nd battary is being stored above the sub box running of a split charge kit.

And the front of the box before it gets attached to the box, this is going to be nearly 40mm thick to support the subs as they are so heavy

Well, thought i would up date this

The audio install is well under way, My subs arrived several days ago 2 X JL 12w6 subs,

This Week

The boot is starting to take shape, "O" Gage earth and power cables.

The 2nd battary is being stored above the sub box running of a split charge kit.

And the front of the box before it gets attached to the box, this is going to be nearly 40mm thick to support the subs as they are so heavy

Inbetween al this i ordered some M5 mirrors, they were painted and fitted on the car

And the subb box all in there nice and snug ready for the 2 12W6 JL Subs

I have also replaced the EGR thermostate and the fuel filter for good measure
