the problem with BT could be actually your phone. Check into that as well.

As you said (and i had thought) it turns out it was. Tested numberous phones (none on the compatible list) and to no avail, sterted to get a bit disheartened. Then went on ebay and bought a Motorola Razr V3 (which IS on the list) and funnily enough it works fine! So i am gonna piggy back one off the other and that will be fine for me!
