thanks for welcoming me in. heres some things i wanna do just to give an idea of what i want to do to my car.

recommendations and thoughts are always welcome.

1. M Aero Kit (as of now, i've found where to get this done... thanks guys!)
2. Quad tip exhaust (what rear bumper would i need? possibly the M5 rear?) and which brand is right.
3. adjust ride height (do i just need springs? or do i need to buy the whole set?)
4. figure out whats are good size wheels and tires. (which is a popular BBS set?)
5. anything else?

again, sorry for the lame questions and remarks. gotta start somewhere with this learning process
1. M Aero Kit (as of now, i've found where to get this done... thanks guys!)
- Good stuff! You'll like the M-Tech kit!
2. Quad tip exhaust (what rear bumper would i need? possibly the M5 rear?) and which brand is right.
- Also a great mod. Do you like your exhaust really loud, moderately loud, or on the quiet side? If you get the M5 rear, you would have to get a custom exhaust system. Quad exhaust systems like Remus don't fit with the M5 rear.
3. adjust ride height (do i just need springs? or do i need to buy the whole set?)
- You can adjust ride height by just doing springs. A lot of guys on the forum have done that. But if you want the real deal, then do coil over adjustables!
4. figure out whats are good size wheels and tires. (which is a popular BBS set?)
- Wheels and tires are personal. Go with whatever catches your eye. Most guys on here have either 19's or 20's. If you live in an area where road conditions are bad (lots of potholes, bumps, and ruts) you may want to stay away from 20's and modular (multi-piece) wheels. Unless you have deep pockets to buy new wheels or repair constantly when you bend a rim.
5. anything else?
- How about an ECU upgrad and a cold air intake system?

is there any way to remove the action of the car shifting on its own when reaching redline?
Some of the ECU upgrades will slightly extend your redline.

Welcome to the board bro. Go to SonicMS in Mt. View, They'll help you with everything. That's where me and a couple members on this board go to for new mods. There's a Bay Area meet on Sept.13th (Saturday), click on the link in my sig for details. Hope you can make it, it's always good meeting new people. I noticed that you like hats and sneakers, like me too. haha

Here's a thread from AL at SonicMS, Last few pictures is my car and BMWRINO's (Fiel).

+1 to what James/Uzzle says... use local shop SonicMS.. ask for Darwin or Al... you definitely should go to the meet even if you don't have any mods by 9/13.. great way to see some mods in person to help with your decisions.. here's SonicMS' info:
