Default New to the 5-Series…

Hello all,

I am new to the 5-series (E60 to be exact), as I had owned a 3-series E36 years ago. I purchased this E60 as a “project car”…really to save it from the scrap yard as the seller could not get it running. Turns out the car was running and it just ‘stopped’. I had experience working on the E36 years ago and I figured that with the German engineering, it would have similarities. Well, more modules and electronics…that’s quite evident! I hope to engorge my brain with the knowledge that I may receive from posts in this forum. I thank you all in advance and hope to get this ultimate driving machine back to hugging the road again.

Best Regards!

to the forums. I used to own an e36 as well. My e60 has definitely given me a lot less problems. Investing in a BMW code reader is a must due to the modules.
