Our Norwegian 520i equipped with e.g. dakota leather, electrical sports seats, nav. etc. had a msrp of 97,462 USD

As long as you can afford,I don't think it does matter.Just like here in HK, price for petrol are at HK$12.70/L(~US$1.63/L),what can you say? 
If you need it,you've no option!! 
Moreover,E60 is a good car(mine is 520i),even I pay HK$453,000.00,I'll still say that's a good buy!
