My Ride: 2010 528i, 2003 325i(sold)
Longtime Lurker. Hello all
Gained a lot of useful knowledge over the years here, finally joined up.
Bought my first bimmer in 2011. It was a 2003 325i with 40k miles. It was a beautiful car with aftermarket wheels but it was a LEMON. I did so many jobs on that car and spent many days and nights working on it. Almost every tool I have now is because of that car lol. Got that one up to about 111,000 and traded her in in 2015 on a 2010 528i with 40k miles.
Figured since I had all the tools to work on a BMW and all the knowledge from repairs on the E46 Lemon I might as well stick with a bimmer. The 528 has ran like a top im up to 132k miles on her. Few minor repairs on the 528 include upper and lower control arms, valve cover gasket and valve cover after 2nd valve cover gasket led to discovery or hairline cracked valve cover, oil filter housing gasket, plugs, pads and rotors all the way around. I did everything under the sun to the 325 nightmare.
Aside from the Key fob/central locking problem that brought me here to subscribe(Posted in E60 discussions), the E60 has been a great car to me.
Anyway hello to all. Thanks for all the help.
