My Ride: A4, M3, 996
Gents,
My name is Andy and I've stumbled across this place while doing research on the possible purchase of an E60. This community is the wealth of informaiton that I was looking for when researching the upcoming purchase. I'm hoping to soon acquire an '04-05 525i or 530i. Engine choice is mainly due to it's great reputation, reliability and fuel economy based on the amount of driving that I do. Plans for the E60 will be fairly simple, Slam it, 20's, light tint and drive the crap out of it.
I work in IT, but my wife and I have a small automotive detailing business as well. As you'll see I love European machinery and attend as many track events that I can fit into my schedule with the M3 and 996. Various BMW's in my past including a 2002, E30, E36M3, E46 325ci and I currently have an E46 M3 tucked away in the garage.
Current cars:
'99 Audi A4 - Brilliant Black / Black "The workhorse" 165,000 miles and counting on the 1.8T, origional motor / turbo / etc...been the best car I've ever owned from a get-in-and-drive perspective. Mods include: GIAC software, K&N filter, Kamei grille, Tint, Projectzwo lower bumper lip custom molded, A! sideskirts, 19' Sportec Mono 10 wheels, Bilsteins, H&R springs, stereo goodies, e-codes, Osram 5400K xenons, etc.
'02 M3 - Alpine w/ Imola interior - Mods: H&R coilovers, Ground Control camber plates. H&R front sway bar, strut brace, K&N intake, Eurobahn Superchips software, BHS pullies, Active Autowerk muffler, OEM LED tails, UUC shifter, Stainless brake lines, Euro rotors, black gills and grille's, OEM iPod interface, hardwired for V1.
'99 996 Aero - Guards Red / black - Factory Aero car with rare LSD option. Mods: H&R RSS Clubsport coilovers, GT3 sway bars, cup car toe links, GT3 Monoball camber plates and strut mounts, GHL headers, GHL mufflers, K&N intake, GT3 console delete. B&M shifter, Wevo motor mounts, etc.
