Is there any anything I should know before purchasing an 04 530 vs geting a newer one? If so please let me know. My brother just got an 04 530i fully loaded with 20k miles on it still under warranty. Is that a good deal? I currently have an honda s2k and its time for an upgrade...

Also note that the 530 at this age doesn't play Mp3... it'll need a software upgrade! As for whether its a good deal... need to know how much you paid. in the UK they go from anything from 16k to 21k ($32 - $44k)

Hey beamer, the biggest thing i recommend is to get a certified preowned (CPO). I got mine about a month ago, 2007. Awesome vehicle. If you do a search through BMW CPO you will find what you want close by or you might have to drive a few hundred miles. There are lots available... Good hunting.

welcome. id say get a newer one or a different model since youre coming from an s2k. one difference is that the 04 530i's have the M54 engine, and i believe it's from 06 and on that the 530i's feature the more powerful N52 engine. good luck and enjoy the forums.
