550i! What a beast
I hate silver cars with a passion but I strangely like yours, I think it's because it is so clean and well looked after.
I am also jealous of your rear heated seats! Was that a 550i only option or was it possible on the 535d too by any chance? If so retrofit time
I also believe a set of gloss black kidney grills will suit yours a lot!

Hi Inn, thanks I know what you mean about silver cars maybe too many about?
I was surprised about rear heated seats not sure if 550i only would not think so,
the black kidney grills is definitely top of the list of things to do

Yeah I think I see to many silver Fords and Mercs around my area, not so many E60s though especially in 550i form. Hows the car on fuel btw?

Well the fuel issue is a good question not driven very far as yet to work things out
properly, but I bought it knowing that it was going to be thirsty! I don't do loads of miles now, soon to be semi retired and its not a commute car so eh ho just enjoy the V8 is my thoughts on it the way things are going with legislation with emissions in this country they will most likely ban them next

I wouldn't be too worried about the ban, honestly they said they would ban diesels and look at what happened, just a slightly higher fee when entering london and a bit higher tax. The only way they can ban them is through making the requirements even tighter for manufacturers to produce them, but even then that does not affect your car or any other older car with a V8.
And ah that makes sense, if it isn't your commuter you will probably not feel the thirst as much. Bet it sounds nice, a good exhaust will really open it up as well!
