Hey all. Been dropping in over the last few months but have been active mostly on M5board.com (sorry mods 
)
Have to say that your DIY section is superb. Did my V1 hardwire ala this site's great instructions.

Thanks all. No, sorry, didn't take pics of the install as I was too busy cursing and banging my head against the wall trying to install it. Member Don Juan's detailed instructions on this site are great and I couldn't improve on those. One word of caution to anyone doing this install is that the quick connector that V1 provides in the box is a piece of crap. I spent hours trying to get my unit up and running, connecting and disconnecting the ground, wire tap, ground, wire tap, and on and on b/c I couldn't figure out which one was the culprit. Turns out the wire tap had a bad connection. Radioshack apparently has a quick connect that you can buy and is vastly superior to the one in sent by V1.
