hi everyone , just treated myself to my first BMW .. i love everything about it already but im sure there will be things i need to learn about it .
any advice for a newbie ?? i heard these cars can be a handful in the winter ?
its a 04 525i E60 ..
any ideas on how i can improve the performance ?

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
First, welcome to the forum, but be warned - you WILL be spending disposable income modifying your new (to you) car. It's kind of a side effect of being a member here, my car was basically stock until I joined
Second, to improve performance: Unfortunately there are not a ton of performance mods for the M54 engine and none that create large amounts of HP without a huge expense. Suggestions for better performance: RPI Scoop and BMC filter ~$200 (~7 HP at highway speeds), RPI exhaust ~$700 (~10-12 HP), and finally ESS/RPI Tune ~$700 (~10-12 HP, plus better acceleration, better fuel economy). Good luck and happy modding.
