Default Hello from Portugal

Hello all,
My name is Claudio, I am from Portugal and currently own a 2005 E61 M57 (177hp) engine - diesels are very common in Europe.
This forum has already helped me a lot during the early stages of owning it, so thank you all for that.
After doing some research I feel that I need to go in detail about an electrical issue and hopefully someone will be able to point me out to the right direction.
Thank you community!
C

My Ride: 2007, 5.25D m/sport
Default

Hi all, well I also have an electrical issue, firstly I love my 2007 E60, for a 2.5D m/sport it’s nippy and fully specked up by the first and only original owner who also loved his cars, anyway my issue is. Firstly I noticed both original remote keys stopped working at the same day, unfortunately it appears the battery in the boot of car is faulty, when recharged and left a day or so it drops to 40% or below, I have recharged on a trickle charge to 100% fully charged, but both remote’s still don’t unlock the car, I have ordered a new heavy duty battery which will need programming into vehicle, would the new battery solve the remote problem or could the faulty battery have caused another issue with both the remote controls. Any help appreciated, this has baffled me.
