Hello from Minnesota
First, its not Minnesooota, we don't really talk like that...well most of us don't.
My wife and I have recently purchased an X5, with the 4.8. I don't know much about BMWs and didn't care to learn, it is her vehicle and she loves it...happy wife, happy life. I am a muscle car guy, so I thought. I absolutely love this thing, every time I drive it, I want a bimmer of my own. I have a company truck and an empty third stall. I now have my eye on a 550 or 535. The power and sound of the v8 is outrageous. Not the fastest vehicle I have owned (supercharged Mustang until last Sept), but definitely the smoothest. Short story long, I am here to do research and learn more about the 5's. It sounds like one can make a huge mistake, if the proper research is not done. I also like to personalize my cars, nothing drastic, just so they stand apart from the rest of the crowd.
Sorry about the length of my intro and be patient with my questions...after all, I am a domestic muscle guy making a big change.
