Default Hello Hello from down under...

Finnaly decided to make an account after using this forum for months, to say hello and hopefully be some help as you all have been for me...

It all started with my first purchas (bmw ever) of my 04 525i about 5 months ago against many of my friends and family advice not to buy one.
I purchased it for 2500 from a dealer that brings cars to my shop for paint and body repairs I thought what a hell of a deal so I jumped.
shortly after my purchas I began to experience terrible shutter, loss of power, and the transmission never knowing what gear to be in.
i searched and searched on what to do I paid good money for a new pan and ATF flush, it helped for about a week and then was worst than ever I was told I need a new tranny but I wasn’t giving up yet.
I found Kyle b post on diy valve body replacement, so what the hell I went for it. Granted this was first time ever working on a BMW much less a transmission.
After fallowing his DIY I was done and much to my stress the car was driving as if it was new.

I signed up to personally think him and everyone on this forum for the time you spend to help others, much love peps!!!

since then I painted her and just want to share and see yalls opinons, the amount of love I get from this ride is unreal, like I’m driving a Ferrari or something!!!

Not when I posted earlier today, just noticed it now.

Blu, you are quite welcome. I'm glad it's helped some people out over the years. BTW I see you're in Roanoke, I went to Ferrum for a couple of years and used to go to downtown Roanoke to skate some of the local spots. This was in the mid-90s. Good times!

It is good times and honestly I doubt it has changed much since then. And that it has. Question I still experience shutter in the rpms on cold starts that I can’t figure out maybe it’s premature torque converter problems... she drives like a dream after about a minute of driving and warming up
