Howdy yall from the texas gulf coast. Just purchased a 2005 545i, silver/blk with Sport package and AT. Wanted a manual but no time to look..didn't even notice that the wheel/tire combo was incorrect, it came with winter runflats and 138 5 spokes..

Well at least, the car runs and handles fine. I'm going to take it to a BMW service tech and have them look it over.

Newbie question, why does my car only show DTC? the DVD and CD-Rom talk about DSC..did I get ripped off?

Congratulations on your new 545 and welcome to the forums. Your car has both DTC and DSC! Try the search feature on the top right side of the page.

Thanks.

Just wondered what the button on the center console is supposed to say . Mine says 'DTC'.

3 days with car so far, so good, in spite of the wrong tires/wheels. Took care of some loose ends not fixed by the dealer, like vacuuming underneath and securing the back seat cushion, mounting the plastic covers for the seat rails and the rain sensor.

I feel really uncomfortable driving this big boat. Here's my previous car history from most recent back to high school

2006 325i (still own)
2000 Honda S2000
2001 Acura CL type S
1996 Audi A4 2.8 quattro
1991 Nissan 240SX
1989 Honda CRX 1.5
1982 Toyota Corolla
1978 Toyota Celica

I'm also a rider, on my 4th bike.

1999 Yamaha R6
1991 Kawasaki ZX-7
1984 Yamaha RZ350
1983 Kawasaki GPz305

Think its time to buck the trend and go for a Suzuki GSX-R750 or 600. I rode one for two days around road atlanta with the Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School, what a blast that was.
