Smile Hello to All

Hello, new here and just trying to get a good community to help out with side projects. Currently I am working on my 2008 535i. Its a lci, with TD04 turbos, downpipes, inlets, jb4 piggy back, MDH back end tune, in the middle of completing the CIC retrofit. I also have a combox that I am going to install. I may need some help coding. Anyways i just finished a few big jobs on the e60. Oil pan gasket, oil filter gasket, valve cover gasket, turbos, rear main seal, transmission. I have some rebuilt OEM turbos and a 6HP21 trans 3rd gear was slipping i could sell. I digress. I have been a huge fan of BMWs for years, and I have owned a few different BMWs over the years. This is my first 5 series and its been great to me so far. I am glad I'm here and look forward to talking and meeting new community members.

Welcome to the forum.

You've done the one thing that I've held off for years doing and that's the oil pan gasket. I just can't find the energy to do it. I guess when it starts actually leaking enough I'll find the energy.

It really wasn't that bad. Biggest pain I had with all of it was the coolant lines from the turbos to the block. They where stuck on there good. dropped the subframe down low enough to get it out. Now mine is rear wheel drive. I image that the X drive isnt fun. Need any help let me know. I did buy BMW TIS program it does have some useful info on there.

to the group.

I still have a leaking oil pan gasket as well. I haven't fixed it yet because it's not leaking that much. Takes about 9-10 months to leak 1 qt.
