Greets from Spanien

Hello guys!
I was searching for a new "used" bigger than the Renault Laguna dci I own. All around 10.000?. First I choosed an Audi A6 as I was planning on going to Germany to import the car. German cars are by far better ingeniered than french or italian cars. Soo after a while I was going to buy a '04 A6 V6 TDI. 9.000?. But then, I thought that, as I was going to import the car, is not so funny to see a old version of a car with a brand new plates... So I searched a car that in '04-'05 had just changed version. So I arrived in the E61 world. Searching and searching finally I got one good candidate.
I travelled to Germany (2.300 km from here) and bought the machine. In 19 hours my father and I made the travel back to Spain. No stop. Then we realised how confortable was living for a whole day in that kind of car. The leather seats, the active cruise control, xenon... A very large list that my old trusty Laguna lacked. One of the things I also realised is that nowhere near the fuel consumption of the 525d manual trans. was going to be near the Laguna. In our fast travel we averaged 7,5l/100km. In same conditions the 240.000km laguna averages 6,1l/100km. More than 1L more!!! But also the driving experience cannot compare... 105HP against 177!!! The silence and the position of driving... Impresive. And also when I take on count that my second car is already a BMW! Better that any of my father's cars. And only I spent 14.000?! A little more than expected but WTH!
German people are impressive. How they can get rid of a 55.000? car with 4 years with full technical history and in inmaculate state. I'm really in love with the car. I have already seen one problem with the thermostats but anyway. WHAT A CAR!
And what a forum! Thanks for all of you for giving so much information of this nice car!

Hope to return to what feels like my home-country in 3 weeks. I think you have to change the air-filter, because my 530d auto does the same average on that trip.
