thanx guys forthe warm welcomes..
i'm so jealous of u guys with ur 535i/545i/550i.. in my country,a car with anything above 2000cc will be taxed very heavily,so we have a situation we have very few cars that displaces above say 2500cc.here,BMW's biggest sellers are the 525i and the 325i.which is kinda sad cuz we're missing on all the fun..we don't get V8s here.hell, even the 535i 3.0 twinturbo is not available here..how i'd love to sample one.
i've seen some M5s and X5 4.8is(boy do they sound great and goes like stink!!!)..but these are owned by very very rich personalities and also the royals(who are rich as well).the best we mere mortals can come up with to keep up is by using forced induction ie supercharging.
i don't race on the roads however..our roads are too crowded and dangerous.eventho we have the best network of roads in SEA,we also have among the highest road death rate in the world.for fast driving,i make use of one of the best racing circuit in the world..the Sepang circuit.
again,u guys are lucky..u have the best selection of cars and roads.envy envy..

Greetings!!!
Been visiting the forum for quite some time.. a very very informative and fun forum, especially as it applies to the current 5.
I hail from a small country in south east asia, where we have Thailand to the north and Singapore to the south.that should give u a rough idea of where I am.I've had my e60 525i for almost a year now, have done some minor changes to the car..nothing serious yet though. So far,I've installed an M-Tech aerokit,M6 forged 19inch alloys and also Bilstein's B12 tuning kit.Sadly, that's as far as i've got thus far.Oh yeah,in case u guys are curious, yes,my house is just next to the Sepang F1 circuit.
There are so many unanswered questions in my mind right now,I hope the forum can shed some light on at least some of them. It's been great so far, following the forum from the outside, now I hope I can participate more.
Also,this is not my first BMW..my first car was an E30 325i,followed by an E36 M3,then an E46 328i.This e60 however,is my first 5.
Hope to have a good time here..
