My Ride: 2010 528xi manual
Default Greeting from Central FL!

Hi Everyone,

If you know parks and rec, you know who Ron Swanson is. Obviously that's not me.
My Name is Roger, I prefer to go by RG.
I'm just a fan of Ron Swanson.

Anyway, I just purchased a 2010 528xi with the 6 speed Manual. It was tough to find, I looked for 3 months for the right one and finally picked it up Thursday. I flew 1-way to Newark, NJ to buy the car and drove it down to FL yesterday.
Its got 121k miles and drives amazing. plenty of power for me.

to the forum, RG! As the E60 continues to age, it can be difficult to find just the right one. Looks like you lucked out. Congrats on your new ride.

thank you so much. I haven't read all the rules yet. so I don't want to start posting dumb questions(just yet)
perhaps you can direct me to the right source.
I am looking for the fasteners that hold down the trunk trim that covers the battery. I've been looking on the bmw parts store web sites but I cant find them for the life of me. there a couple missing and 1 is broken.

The only dumb questions are those pondering in your head that are never asked. There is a site called RealOEM.com that lists part numbers for all BMWs based on your VIN. Have you tried that yet?

The E60 Discussion forum is for general questions and issues you may be having and the E60, E61 Parts, Accessories and Mods section relates to your question.

No, I haven't tried that yet. But I will now. Thank you.
I'll start posting in the E60 discussion forum any questions I can't find the answers to after searching the forums and threads. thanks again!
