I'm going to a local get together tomorrow to do some detailing.
Friend got a buffing machine and all. I will take some more nice pix to share including side shots.
About the chroming, my local Direct Tire shop sent them out to California to be chromed, over a year ago. The shop sends me a set they have on the floor (OEM wheels), and keep the ones I sent out, for other buyers. I'll check for pricing and shop's name if I can find it. Was not cheap though.
The RS6 is stock software.

Had my stock wheels chromed also - sorry, no pics. I think its a great look but my SA tells me most BMW owners are too conservative for chrome!

I have to admit I'm not the type to even go close to that much "bling". I was a bit on the fence, but I figured if I did not like it, I can always trade it with someone else. But in the Alpine White color, I think it gives it quite an edge. I've had 5-series since 1987, and they have all been white. Usually I do the wheels first to make it look different from all the others I see on the road. This time I chose to stick with stock rims, but chrome them. Seems to be the latest craze, so I wanted to be a sheep and join in. It has grown on me. The GF loves it.

Welcome aboard. Alpine White is a good looking color, if I could go back in time, I think I might have gotten that...but as some of you know I didn't really have a choice (Old thread...). Anyways, welcome and I look forward to seeing those ACS II's on your car, and if you ever want to sell them, let me know, good looking wheels.

What a wonderful crowd indeed.
I know some folks wanted to see a few other side pix, so I took some after doing a detail get together yesterday with a couple of friends. Sorry about the rust in the rotors, but it seems that it only takes 5 minutes before the rust starts to form.
As usual, for larger pix, just click the image. If you can't see the images, you might want to hit 'Refresh' on the browser. Currently this is being serviced from my home server.
