Hello everyone!
Just finalized my order for a 2008 535i today. Getting the Monaco Blue met. w/cream beige interior. Pretty much fully loaded (US version options anyway) except for the "Night vision" option...seemed pricy at $2200.00. This will be my 1st BMW and I am excited to have it arrive. They tell me it's 7 - 9 weeks out as they have to build it since I ordered the manual transmission...no autos here!!
Looking forward to learning more about the BMW's here and mods, upgrades, etc. Excited to see what hp options will be coming out for the twin turbo I6.
And last (but not least) my other car is a 2007 Shelby GT500 and while not as precise nor refined as the BMW's it's FAST as he!! and very fun to drive.

Sounds like a great choice. As for the night vision, it seems that most folks on here that have it probably wish they had not ordered it. Who wants to drive while staring at the i-Drive screen? Something like that just doesn't seem all that safe or practical.

Like your "garage baby". I had a 2007 Mustang GT/CalifSpecial Vert but sold it before ordering the BMW (we have two other vehicles and it was too many!!).

Thanks for the welcome and excellent point on the Night Vision option...I had (incorrectly) assumed it would be integrated into the Head up display!

That's great that there are at least two E60/GT500 owners here!! I actually learned quite a bit from the su post...some folks do get a bit exctied around the lease vs purchase question though 
Can't wait for the BMW to arrive!! My dealer is going to send me the production number so I can track the build progress...do tell about your GT500...vert or coupe and color?

tuco - thanks for the welcome and good choice on the 535xi - I had considered the all wheel drive - but here in SoCal - just not really needed. I too had an '07 GT/CS vert for about 9 mos, when my buddy who runs a Ford store - called with MSRP on the GT500...he ordered it exactly same color and vert based on my GT/CS that I had originally ordered from him...and it arrived 9 mos later...when he offered MSRP - I couldn't resist
I've seen you before at SU and/or TMS? When is your 535 due to arrive?
