E 60 bmw egs swap
Hi one and all.,first i would like to thank the forum for accepting me. I got a issue with a 5series e60 tht would like to change the transmission egs which is faulty,its my first time doing this,can anyone assist with the procedure. I do have the bnw standard tools. Thanks

My Ride: 2005 525i E60
I am in the same situation. 2005 E60 525i. The EGS is failing, ISTA-P clears the faults and re codes the EGS, but when Refilling the Fluid (as per instructions) , the trans starts to make a whining noise an soon after get fail safe indication whit codes. I can buy an used good transmission for 1k. What do I need to do to adapt the New(used) EGS? Both transmissions are exactly the same. Thanks for helping.
