Hi guys,
Just a brief intro as I am new to this forum.
A week ago I bought a 2006 550i m-sport saloon (auto) after having originally looked for a 530i estate to accommodate for the family needs... I guess life is full of surprises Fortunately the wife did not file for divorce btw (phew).
What shall I say: an absolutely amazing car and the combination of luxury and power is unbelievable... (in particular as I had been driving the 320i estate before).
Still trying to get used to half the mpg but having changed all BC settings I have managed to ban any fuel indicators from my sight...

Hi guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome!
u3b3rg33k: When I picked up the car I averaged 31(UK) mpg (50% motorway / 50% A-road). Over the last few days I only drove across town as a result of which it plummeted to 21...
Interesting: During the initial check at my garage (didn't trust my dealer..) they have come across a faulty "Differential sensor, intake manifold" which apparently messes up the fuel mixture and leads to combustion misfiring.
They implied that this could have a negative impact on fuel economy so I am interested to see if the repair will make any difference...
Best regards,
Dozzer
