My Ride: Sold: E60 535i Sport Package
Model Year: 2008
Hello from Irvine, CA
Long time lurker, finally registered! I enjoyed a 2008 E60 535i Sedan for years, but ended up selling it in lieu of a 2015 Tesla Model S 70d. Now that the Tesla lease is almost up, I'm looking back into the bimmer world. (Nothing wrong with the Tesla. A wonderful car in every aspect. However, I no longer have a 2+ hour commute so I don't see the same gas savings for a pure EV car anymore). The Tesla re-ignited a long time interest in a liftgate. I'd love to get a unicorn E61 wagon, with manual transmission, and local craigslist has been dry for months. Ideally the next car will be fun to drive, and comfortably road trip with my 60lbs husky, 2+ mountain bikes, and a kid or two in the future.

to the forum! We were wondering when you were going to finally join, lol!
Keep looking! The 6MT E61s are elusive, but they are out there. You need to look beyond just you local Craigslist however. Have you check our classifieds section?

Yes, I'm prowling the classifieds. The canadian aspect gives me pause, since California is one of the more difficult states to work with (in general; never had to register an out of state/country car before).

I do miss my '08 535i, but I remember I never could figure out how the automatic climate control worked. I just fiddled with the buttons until I was comfortable
