I have a 2005 Bentley GT that’s giving me sum transmission issues. I’m not sure if u have any experience with these cars but they have ZF transmission. So I thought I would ask for your advice. Basically what it is doing is not shifting pass 3rd gear and goes into limp mode. Even before it enters limp mode it slips at 4th 5th and 6th gear; but in trying to do so it enters limp mode. I manage to pull 2 codes from it with a cheap scan tool from the local auto part store which reads P0783 and and another saying 5th gear ratio...so any input or suggestions would be very appreciated

Its the cheapest thing to try before throwing parts at it. I like to go cheap first then figure out what parts it may need. Them quoting you $2000 is definitely wrong. just take your time taking it apart and you will be fine. Let me know how it goes. If you want pictures on how to take it apart I think I can find a how to the shows what needs to be done.
