I've also downloaded + extracted all the SP Daten Sources ,

Since its a 6MT similar to yours, i figured really the only thing worth updating was the DME , its currently ZBE : 7567178 , with an install date of 18-11-2006
The assembly # is 7568950 .

I find it odd that BMW never updated the DME , and this car is still on the original firmware.

I was able to read the MSV70.HIS files and see that the natural upgrade path is to 7623404 , by looking at each subsequent release. (there are 4 upgrades in the path) , but WINKFP only shows 7623403 , which is 1 step lower,which from what I read.. seems to make sense.

Anyways.. I was curious if you have bothered to upgrade your car since you got it.. or are just leaving it stock..

My name is Karan.. I noticed you got a E61 Touring also, I got a 07' 530xi 6MT in June, was curious since your coding your car now... I wondered did you upgrade the DME?

I've got the programming cable / laptop / software / etc.. along with building a Server PSU Programming 14V device.for continious voltage.

I live up Brampton, near 401 / Missisauga Rd. was wondering if we could get together.. so I can learn / watch how you program the car for your steering mod.

I got everything ready to got, but haven't executed the coding step yet.. cause the DME txt config files..

Anyways glad to see another E61 user here from the GTA , let me know if you have time / free .
