Im going to be driving back, so definately no drinking.

Hows does wine tasting, do we sit at a table and get served, or we go through the wine cellar testing each from barrel?

you coming E?

Depends where the caravan meets. I dont want to drive too much out of my way to meet up with the caravan. I'm going to meet up with Backonblackonblack ahead of time... and try to catch the caravan. If theres no convenient location Maybe we can time it and catch you guys on the 101.

It all depends on the winery but I haven't come across a place that does barrel tasting in a while. Most of the time, you're just at a counter or a table and they pour you a little bit of each wine you want to taste. All the ones in Napa charge for tasting nowadays. Not sure about the ones in SLO.

Tasting prices vary, but usually $5 - $15 per tasting for 5-7 different wines. (more expensive if you taste the "reserves"). In most wineries, fees are waived with a purchase.
