who else is joining us? add yourself to the list
I haven't read through the entire "meet" thread and don't know what the itinerary looks like but if your planning on wine tasting - I've been to the Harvest Festival held up in that valley every year for 11 years. If your going to wineries...do yourselves a favor and hit TOLOSA VINEYARDS in SLO, TALLEY VINEYARDS in Arroyo Grande (amazing twisties back there), DOMAINE ALFRED, KYNSI WINERY and EDNA VALLEY VINEYARDS. By the time your done tasting at those places...you'll start to believe you're PENNETTA...screaming down the backroads. Just kidding - BE SAFE!

How about you join us and lead the tour?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll mention it to the SLO guys that are helping me plan this.

I'm trying hard to get the day off. Hopefully will work out.

Well if it's a one in a million chance, it's still a chance. haha

I'll add you to the list on the other thread as tentative. BTW, if you go to page 14 of that thread, the first post on top has a brief summary from me of the planned agenda.

According to my ultra-long-range weather forecast, it's going to be icy roads all the way to SLO that day.

We had plenty of ice at the Angelus Crest run.

You seem to love pinots. What wineries would you recommend for some good merlots or Cabs?

IMHO and experience, SoCal ain't the place for good merlots and cabs. Napa, Sonoma and Paso Robles make the best cabs. (My wine fridge is stocked mainly with California cabs.) That said, a wine tour through the Santa Inez Valley (remember the movie "Sideways"?) is always fun, and not too far off the 101 Freeway, near Solvang. Expect to taste pinots, cab francs (not sauvignons), and dessert wines.

Be sure to have a designated E60 driver (or take a limo tour), though...
