**NOTE TO EVERYONE, have your license plate place in front of the front bumper just in case of cops

Im going to zip tie mine
This is unnecessary IMO.

Bimmerfest is highly advertised meet. Even with a large turnout, this is small beans in comparison.

+1. The V1 won't protect you if the copper sees something illegal. Rolling with 5+ modded cars grabs attention

Or you can roll like me and leave the temp tags on forever. No need for a front plate.

I'll throw this out there for what it's worth.
http://www.speedtrap.org/speedtraps/...y.asp?state=CA
There are a couple of bad spots for CHP on the drive up, they will set up with radar in some known spots. Usually no hassle on plated from CHP in my experience, which is to much really.
Radar hot spots are:
coming out of Santa Barbara onto 154 the road goes from 4 lanes to 2 and everyone goes like hell to pass. CHP sits up at the upper end and picks you off.
Anywhere along 154, V1 has saved me many times but you have to watch out. there are 2 false alarms from speed indicator signs.
Getting off the 154 onto the 101, the twisties used to be wide open but I got nailed there last fall going Southbound.
They work the area from Santa Maria to Los Alamos hard in the Southbound direction and like to sit over hills and around turns to hit you when you come up on them. Haven't seen a trap in the Northbound direction but they have to go back that way sometime.
North of Santa Maria it's just WYSIWYG, they will be out there but they don't usually set up in traps.

Flow of traffic on the 101 can be anywhere from 65-70 to 75-80 depending on the group of cars out there.

Good luck.
